Live Music and Dance
Awesome Fest 2 Honorable Mention Collective proudly announces the second annual Awesome Fest at the Arena Theater in Point Arena, California on April 18th and 19th, 2008. Tickets are $25 for each night's event, and there is a specially priced ticket good for both nights. In the age of Ticketmaster, Clear Channel, and the impersonal mega-festival, this truly independent event, organized by artists for artists, is a refreshingly rare and unique experience. Doors open @ 8:00PM. Show starts @ 9:00PM. $25 each night. You can also choose to purchase a specially priced $45 ticket good for both nights.
The festival once again brings an eclectic assortment of independent, but nationally recognized musicians to rural Northern California.
Because last years show was such a success we have expanded this years festival to two nights.

Donizetti's La Fille du Regiment
Live Streaming Opera
Saturday April 26, 9:45am to 2:00pm
This week's event is Donizetti's La Fille du Regiment. Experience the exceedingly yummy operatic cake that was called the "operatic show of the season" by The Times of London when it opened at Covent Garden this past winter. Audiences were dazzled by Natalie Dessays fearless coloratura and impeccable comic timing and by Juan Diego Flrezs remarkable musicality complete with the famous high Cs. "Dessay and Flrez are an operatic coupling made in heaven" raved the Financial Times. Directed by Laurent Pelly, the production also boasts stage legend and four-time Tony Award winner Zoe Caldwell as the Duchess of Krakenthorp.
