Plot summary #1 - No Spoilers = Holed up in Bruges, Belgium after a difficult job, two hit men (Ray - Colin Farrell) & (Ken - Brendan Gleeson) begin to differ on their views of life and death as they become used to local customs. From the IMDb Plot summary #2 - Slight Spoilers = Bruges, the most well-preserved medieval city in the whole of Belgium, is a welcoming destination for travellers from all over the world. But for hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson), it could be their final destination; a difficult job has resulted in the pair being ordered right before Christmas by their London boss Harry (Ralph Fiennes) to go and cool their heels in the storybook Flemish city for a couple of weeks. Very much out of place amidst the gothic architecture, canals, and cobbled streets, the two hit men fill their days living the lives of tourists. Ray, still haunted by the bloodshed in London, hates the place, while Ken, even as he keeps a fatherly eye on Ray's often profanely funny exploits, finds his mind and soul being expanded by the beauty and serenity of the city. But the longer they stay waiting for Harry's call, the more surreal their experience becomes, as they find themselves in weird encounters with locals, tourists, violent medieval art, a dwarf American actor shooting a European art film, Dutch prostitutes, and a potential romance for Ray in the form of Chloë (Clémence Poésy), who may have some dark secrets of her own. And when the call from Harry does finally come, Ken and Ray's vacation becomes a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions and surprisingly emotional consequences. Written by Focus Features
This film debut by the theater writer and director Martin McDonagh is an endlessly surprising, very dark, human comedy, with a plot that cannot be foreseen but only relished. Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
'After I killed him, I dropped the gun in the Thames' -- so begins In Bruges, an insanely clever thug's tale so rife with obscenity that those 11 words form one of the longest complete sentences that can be repeated safely here. Amy Biancolli, Houston Chronicle
As with all road movies, it all comes down to chemistry, and almost every character in In Bruges convincingly connects, selling the story’s absurd twists and turns. Jeff Meyers, Orlando Weekly
McDonagh breathes new life into moldy pulp fiction tropes with a heavy-duty helping of Irish Catholic angst, mixing the sacred and the blisteringly, side-splittingly profane. Sean Burns, Philadelphia Weekly
In Bruges is a haunting and hypnotic movie, just the thing to get lost in. Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
I thought it was fantastic. Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper
This dark comedy shifts effortlessly between silly and sobering, and it finally gives Colin Farrell the chance to be as funny as we've long suspected he could be. Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel

As a black comedy, In Bruges is a work of comic genius. Beverly Berning, culturevulture.net
It's hard to mix dark wit with real tragedy, but that's what writer-director Martin McDonagh pulls off with In Bruges, a wonderfully realized examination of unintended and deadly consequences. Tom Long, Detroit News
It's definitely not to everyone's taste, but the most interesting pictures never are. Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com
It somehow manages to never stop being brutally funny, while also becoming tragically bleak. Bruce Newman,San Jose Mercury News

One Elephant One World One Story
Horton the Elephant struggles to protect a microscopic community from his neighbors who refuse to believe it exists. From the IMDb
Delightfully frivolous, but grounded in reality, this inventive animation based on the Dr Seuss story, will amuse, enchant and inspire one and all - no matter how big or small. Urban Cinefile Critics, Urban Cinefile
Succeeds where previous Dr. Seuss adaptations have fallen short, most notably by using animation -- fluid, elastic, genuinely Seussian animation -- to tell the story. Eric D. Snider, EricDSnider.com
On the 14th of March, from the Land of L.A., comes a film based on Seuss that I'm happy to say, isn't overblown junk like The Cat in The Hat -- a movie that messed with the book and fell flat. Amy Biancolli, Houston Chronicle
It's a relief then that writers Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio have fun with the belief that all humor doesn't have to be of the wink-nudge variety to appeal to adults in the 'plex. Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post
Directors Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino direct with a keen eye for bringing Dr. Seuss' whimsical drawings and humanistic message to CG life. Nancy Churnin, Dallas Morning News
The movie proves a funny, elevating ride that should beguile the young and keep their parents or grandparents enthralled too. For once, the G rating stands for Glorious. Richard Corliss, Time Magazine
